Find Me A Therapist

 

A free service which directly assists community members in the search for Black therapists. Black people can make customized requests for culturally competent therapy and receive contact information for up to 3 Black therapists which meet their criteria, tips for their first therapy consultation, and more. At limited times throughout the year, free therapy vouchers are available.Our REBUILD Youth program serves youth 5-18 who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and is supported by the City of Raleigh Human Services Grant.

FMAT Youth

Darkness RISING is addressing the youth mental health crisis through our Find Me a Therapist (FMAT) Youth Initiative, which matches Black youth ages 5–24 with Black therapists. FMAT Youth provides personalized support through our Therapist Connectors—trained Black mental health peer support specialists who walk families through every step, from selecting a therapist to navigating billing. At specific, limited times throughout the year, we cover the cost of up to 10 therapy sessions per youth, eliminating financial and logistical barriers.
