Tia (she, her, hers) earned her master’s degree in 2006 from Bellevue University in Human Service Counseling. Tia is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Somatic Therapy. Tia is a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She is currently working toward becoming an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist.
Tia works with adolescents and adults who are dealing with the effects of substance abuse, grief/loss, anxiety, depression, and/or trauma. She also believes in the importance of positive sexual health that encompasses many different facets of a person’s physical and emotional well-being surrounding sex and sexuality. Tia believes in the importance of keeping a safe space that incorporates trust, humor, honesty, compassion, and respect.
